Fresh Starts & Summer Intentions: Welcoming July with Holistic Wellness
The Magic of July: A New Chapter Begins
Hey friends,
Can you believe it’s already July? The year’s halfway mark always makes me pause and take a deep breath. There’s something about these long, golden days—gardens overflowing, wildflowers everywhere, that feeling of possibility in the air—that just begs for a fresh start.
At Holistic Homesteaders Healing & Wellness, we love using these turning points as invitations: to check in with ourselves, to set gentle intentions, and to lean into the joy and abundance that summer brings. Whether you’re craving more calm, deeper connection, or just a little more time for yourself, July is the perfect moment to say yes.
1. Set Your Summer Wellness Intentions
Before the month sweeps you away, grab a notebook or your favorite mug of tea, and ask yourself:
What do I want July to feel like?
Maybe you’re dreaming of more slow mornings, more laughter, or just a little more energy. Write down three intentions—big or small—and stick them on your fridge, your mirror, or tucked into your journal as a daily reminder.
2. Embrace Simple Seasonal Rituals
July is overflowing with everyday magic if you know where to look:
Morning Herbal Tea on the Porch: There’s something special about starting your day with lemon balm or mint tea, a few quiet breaths, and a moment of gratitude.
Nature Walks: Get outside and notice what’s blooming, buzzing, and growing around you.
Fresh Food Feasts: Celebrate with salads, berries, and anything that tastes like sunshine.
3. Let Nature Support You
This month, I’m loving:
Peppermint: Cooling and uplifting for those hot, sticky days.
Lemon Balm: My go-to for calming nerves and soothing digestion.
Elderflower: Gentle immune support as the seasons begin to shift.
Try a simple herbal iced tea blend—your body (and taste buds) will thank you!
4. Celebrate Connection
Summer is for gathering, sharing, and building community—whether it’s a backyard picnic, a class in the park, or just a chat with a friend. Reach out, join a workshop, or share your wellness journey with us online. We’re all in this together, and it’s so much sweeter that way.
5. Gentle Reminders for Self-Care
Rest is productive. Give yourself permission to slow down.
You’re allowed to change your mind. Let go of what’s not serving you.
Small steps matter. Every herbal tea, every walk, every mindful moment adds up.
Quick Recipe: Summer Intention Iced Tea
1 tbsp dried peppermint
1 tbsp dried lemon balm
1 quart hot water
Steep, strain, and chill. Pour over ice with a splash of lemon or a few fresh berries. Sip and savor your intentions for the month.
